LAST WEEK'S ROUNDUP: A light to moderate trade developed Friday
starting in the North with dressed deals ranging from $176 to
$178, mostly $178, about $2 lower than last week's weighted
average basis Nebraska. Southern business developed after the
noon hour at $114, generally steady with the previous week's
weighted averages. According to the Friday afternoon Mandatory
reports total weekly trade volumes were as follows: KS 486; NE
13,303; TX 0; CO 0, IA 18,480. Since significant trade volume
didn't really start until after the Mandatory cutoff it will be
interesting to see just where trade volume totals come in when
the weekly summaries come out later this morning.

DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is typically quiet this
morning with packers focusing on the collection of new
showlists. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed
until the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to
be lower with generally light box movement.

For the week ending November 10, 2018, Imported Beef Passed for
Entry in the U.S. totaled 37,230, 99.17% of the previous week
and 102.15% of the prior 4-week average.
